TOPOGRAPHY

The region's topography is dominated by the Andes Mountains, including peaks like Illimani and Huayna Potosí. It also features the Altiplano plateau and is near Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world (Altiplano, Lake Titicaca).

CLIMATE

The climate is characterized by cool temperatures due to the high altitude, with average temperatures ranging from 35°F (2°C) to 55°F (13°C). Rain is common during the wet season from November to March, and snow is possible in the highest areas.

The two most common languages spoken are Spanish and Aymara.
