<h4 class="label">Temple Announcement</h4>
<p>On October 1, 2023, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the Roanoke Virginia Temple at the October 2023 General Conference. It will be the third temple in the state. The <a href="/richmond-virginia-temple/" onmouseover="showTip('richmond-virginia-temple')" onmouseout="unTip()">Richmond Virginia Temple</a> was dedicated on May 7, 2023, by President Dallin H. Oaks of the First Presidency. And plans for the <a href="/winchester-virginia-temple/" onmouseover="showTip('winchester-virginia-temple')" onmouseout="unTip()">Winchester Virginia Temple</a> were announced on April 2, 2023. Roanoke is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia in the eastern United States.
