<p>An official rendering of the West Jordan Utah Temple has not yet been released to the public.</p>

<h4 class="label">Temple Site</h4>
<p>On April 22, 2024, the location of the West Jordan Utah Temple was announced as a 16.1-acre site located west of Highway 111 at approximately 7148 South. Plans call for a multi-story temple of approximately 85,000 square feet and a new meetinghouse.¹</p>

<h4 class="label">Temple Announcement</h4>
<p>On April 7, 2024, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the West Jordan Utah Temple at the 194th Annual General Conference. It is the 29th temple announced for Utah. West Jordan is a suburb of Salt Lake City, located on the southwest side of the Salt Lake Valley. At the time of the announcement, the <a href="/salt-lake-temple/" onmouseover="showTip('salt-lake-temple')" onmouseout="unTip()">Salt Lake Temple</a> and <a href="/provo-utah-rock-canyon-temple/" onmouseover="showTip('provo-utah-rock-canyon-temple')" onmouseout="unTip()">Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple</a> were under renovation, and the <a href="/manti-utah-temple/" onmouseover="showTip('manti-utah-temple')" onmouseout="unTip()">Manti Utah Temple</a> was scheduled to be rededicated two weeks later.
